Karamchedu is one of the richest villages of Andhra Pradesh. All are strong Hindus with higher class community. They have businesses in cinema field, tobacco and own hundreds of acres of cultivation land. But they don’t have Jesus.

   In 1950s while Dr. Manoharam was in evangelism of the surrounding areas, a widow called Mrs. Y. Lakshmidevamma, heard the gospel and invited him to the village. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal saviour and gave her little room for worship. 

  As Dr. Manoharam, himself a poet and singer, sings and preach the gospel many attracted for the songs. They came and heard the WORD and converted.

   Later on the believers of the church aquired the land and constructed the church under the leadership of Mrs. Lakshmidevama

   Mrs. D. Jayapradamma who accepted Jesus and converted has taken the responsibility of the church after Mrs Lakshmidevamma promoted to glory. She strengthened the church by re-constructing the presnt church building. 

   Bro J. Jaya Raju, (L), Bro. V. Narendra Raju, worked here as pastors, Presently Bro. A. Santhi Babu is working in this church as pastor. Still there is apposition in the village. There is no possibility to speak the Gospel in public. Please pray
