Manoharavanam is a habitat of around 30 houses belonging to tribal people. The houses they built here on the bank of a water pond, are nothing but small sheds with thatched roofs and walls. This area is prone to regular cyclones and their houses used to blow down. They live on paddy fields watching the crop and catching the rats that destruct. 

While Dr. Manoharam when he was running to save his life from the anti-christian mob in early 1940s, he hid himself in the pond all the night suffering from leach and cold water. As this place has no name to be called, we named it after him as Manoharavanam

While we were lifting our eyes to find un-reached places, God showed this place. though these people live beside the highway, none could reach them. God open the door unto us to reach them. We preached the gospel in 2008 and started to worship in a small way by erecting a small shed in 2009. The church started to grow, but a cyclone hit the place in 2010 and the prayer shed was blown down. As God helped us, we were able to re erect the prayer shed again. But since one year the shed started to sink down, due to loose soil. 

We are praying to build a strong prayer hall in this place, which can serve even as cyclone shelter to this poor. Some scrap was left un-used at the building site in the Head Quarters. as we started building, using the scrap the church construction is growing slowly.
